Natural Improvement Service uses natural materials to amend water courses and create seasonal wetlands using simple diffusion structures. These projects can strategically slow the flow of water in the landscape and connect the groundwater with the surface over time. This consolidation of runoff and improved ground infiltration allows for the slow release of moisture to lower elevations into the dry season. Vegetation can then be planted in and around the structures to jump-start the water cycle and initiate a chain reaction of fertility and natural function.
