The Story so far
Natural Improvement Service was founded with a goal of providing reliable and sustainable solutions for landowners, businesses, and communities. The larger goal is to expand beaver populations and remediate wild areas to serve as living examples of beneficial human intervention and foresight.
Founded in 2021
My name is Justin Macaw. I founded Natural Improvement Service in 2021 as a personal vehicle for positive change in the world. I earned a degree in Agricultural Systems Management from the University of Idaho and held positions in several agricultural sectors from factory potato processing to feedlot meat production. After a while I developed a very heavy conscience about the toll we take on the natural world. I grew up exploring on our 500 acre ranch and I worry about the availability of vast, unbroken wild places for future generations. I aim to create, protect and promote wild lands for the rest of my life.
Serving Idaho and Beyond
I work out of Eagle, ID and travel throughout the western US. I offer many services that allow beavers to get back to work on the land. I also provide a wide range of general riparian services, including site assessments, remediation, and management. I work closely with clients to develop customized solutions that meet their unique needs and goals.
